As our business relies on high-quality agricultural products, water resources and energy, our operation and value chain are closely tied to the natural environment, which is directly impacted by climate change. An increase in frequency and intensity of extreme weather and natural disasters caused by climate change will have a negative impact on agricultural productivity. In recognition of the urgent need for climate action, we released our first Climate Policy in 2022, outlining our climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy, and our commitment to achieve 20% reduction in carbon emission intensity of our direct operations (scope 1 & 2) by 2025 against a 2021 baseline.
